After consulting with the Minnesota Department of Health today, I am very happy to announce that we will continue with plans to welcome students for On-site Learning on Monday, August 24th. According to MDH, New Discoveries has a “solid plan” that will provide for a safe return to on-site learning.
Please note, with this week’s updated 14-day COVID-19 case rate increasing again, it is critically important that we honor protocols to ensure everyone’s safety. Based on school occupancy loads for COVID-19 restrictions, there will be some minor adjustments to our routine. Those adjustments will be in place beginning Monday.
In addition to following safe protocols at NDMA, MDH stressed the importance of families following safe protocols in your homes, at your place of employment, and in the community. Good hygiene, safe distancing when outside of your family unit, wearing face coverings when outside of your family unit, etc. are critical factors that will influence whether or not NDMA will be able to continue to be open for on-site learning. We are grateful for your help in this regard. As always, please contact me if you have questions, and/or if you require clarification.
