2012 Board Candidates
Jill Bierbaum: Parent of an NDMA student. She is interested in serving on the board to be more involved at her daughter’s school, because education in important, to help maintain great education options inHutchinson, and to support the staff of NDMA. Jill is a full-time parent and homemaker, member of NDMA PTO, has served on various church board positions, and she volunteers whenever possible.
Doug Brown & Lynn Brown: Shared board position.
Doug is a community member. He is interested in serving on the NDMA board to improve education, maintain a balanced budget, oversee curriculum, and maintain the best staff possible. Doug had been a past District 423 board member, is a former engineer and teacher, and Manager of Corporate Programs at 3M.
Lynn is employed by NDMA as a special education teacher. She is interested in serving on the board because there is a need, to become more of an integral role in the school, and to help in the decision making process. Lynnhas served on numerous committees; she has dealt with a variety of issues when serving on the staff-pastor- parish relations committee. She has lived in the community for nearly 25 years and has worked in the field of education for 20 years.
Marc Vaillancourt: Parent of NDMA student. He would like to serve on the board because he is interested in the happenings at the school since his daughter is a student, he has a unique perspective that will add value to the conversation, he believes in giving back to the community and his past experience will serve the board and NDMA well. Marc is an experienced not-for-profit leader with deep roots in theHutchinson community, is a Blandin Community Leadership Program alumni, and is a successful fund development professional with a premier healthcare foundation.

New Discoveries Annual Meeting
6:30 p.m. on May 7th.
Potluck Dessert Bar after the meeting.
